Ingredients
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
Instructions
- In a measuring jug, combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar (if using), Dijon mustard, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Whisk until all ingredients are well combined.
- Place chicken in a Ziploc bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish tightly and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or up to overnight.
- Remove chicken from marinade and cook using your preferred method: grill for 6-8 minutes per side, sauté in a skillet for about 8-10 minutes per side, or bake in a preheated oven at 410°F for 15-25 minutes until cooked through.
