  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix blueberries with 2 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons sugar until coated.
  3. Transfer the blueberry mixture to a buttered 8" by 8" baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine sifted flour, butter, sugar, salt, and baking powder using a pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the blueberry layer.
  6. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  7. Allow cooling for at least 30 minutes before serving.
