  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 11 slices Colby Jack cheese
  • 1 large sweet onion (diced)
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • Dill pickles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to broil.
  2. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place cut side up on a lined baking sheet. Butter the inside with melted butter and broil for 3-4 minutes until golden.
  3. Reduce oven heat to 350°F. In a mixing bowl, season ground beef with salt and pepper, then press into a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
  4. Sauté diced onions with butter in a pan over low heat until browned (about 15 minutes).
  5. Assemble sliders: layer pickles on toasted buns, add beef slab, top with cheese and sautéed onions, then cover with top buns.
  6. Brush tops with remaining melted butter, sprinkle sesame seeds if desired, and bake for another 15 minutes until cheese is melted.
