  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. To make the crumb topping, combine flour, brown sugar, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl. Whisk in melted butter and apple cider vinegar until crumbly.
  3. In a large bowl, mix sliced rhubarb and quartered strawberries. Add sugars, cornstarch, salt, vanilla extract, and orange juice; stir well.
  4. Spoon the fruit filling into a frozen pie crust.
  5. Top with crumb mixture by breaking it into large pieces and patting it down gently.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes at 400°F, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
